Memory Eden Illustrations

Memory: Eden is a cyberpunk visual novel focusing on the importance of humanity in the memories and experiences we share. It follows Sam as he attends his shift as a Gardener at Neurogrove Innovations, a company known for collecting, farming, and selling memories for public consumption. With even the most intrinsic human experiences commodified, unrest and tensions boil within the city daily. As Sam delves into the memories of his long-lost childhood friend, Mia, he unravels the mysteries of her life after him, her struggles in the lower-class, and her mission to save her sick younger sister.

For this collaborative storytelling project, my responsibilities extended beyond foundational world-building into key visual development. I was deeply involved in establishing the narrative framework, defining core elements such as the story's timeline, overarching themes, and the environmental atmosphere of our fictional techno-world. My role also encompassed crucial brand and aesthetic decisions; I curated the project’s initial mood board, color palette and selected the primary typography to ensure visual consistency and tone. My primary technical contribution was then translating these narrative elements into tangible scene illustrations. This process required a cohesive blend of creative direction and technical execution, ensuring the visual assets effectively communicated the unique aesthetic and atmosphere of the world we were building collaboratively.
